Capital Campaign Milestones: Beam Signing
This January, the steel for Positive Tomorrows’ new facility was completed. Students, donors, and staff visited the construction site the second week in January to make their mark before the final beam was welded into place.
Wrapped up in bright blue Positive Tomorrows sweatshirts, every student at Positive Tomorrows signed their name on a beam that will forever be at Positive Tomorrows. President and Principal Susan Agel joined students and teachers for this milestone occasion.
“No matter where you go, or what you do, you’ll always know that your name is in our building,” Agel announced to students. “You will always be a part of Positive Tomorrows.”
Donors and volunteers also stopped by to leave their mark on the beam, which was lifted into place with an Alpine tree secured tightly on top. The tree topper celebrates the completion of the skeleton of the building, and serves as a talisman of good luck and prosperity for the future of the building and its occupants.
With an estimated completion date of fall 2019, the staff and students can’t wait to move into this new home that will nearly triple its current capacity. It is an exciting time for Positive Tomorrows!
