We are excited to welcome approximately 100 students to a new school year at Positive Tomorrows beginning Aug. 10.
“Students like the children we serve are often the ones that get left behind in virtual learning situations. With careful planning, our staff will be ready to teach in our classrooms this fall. Things may change as circumstances change, but we’re focused on meeting needs of our students.” – Susan Agel, President/CEO
With extra classrooms available for future expansion, we realized during summer break camp that we had the space available to place 10 students and one adult in all our available classrooms this year. We will follow safety protocols guided by the Oklahoma State Department of Health and monitor daily developments from state and federal agencies.. Our children and staff will adhere to social distancing and sanitizing procedures that include mandatory disinfectant schedules throughout the building.
We will still be limiting our offsite field trips, and the three daily meals we provide each child will be eaten in the classrooms and not in our common cafeteria area. All children, staff and visitors will be screened each day for fevers and other symptoms. Masks will be required for all staff and visitors inside the facility.
This will be the first academic year we will begin in our new school that we moved into last December.
If you would like to help our kiddos have a great start to the school year, make a donation online or visit our Needs Page to see our highest items of need that you can drop off or have shipped to us.
