Oklahoma City Thunder player Isaiah Hartenstein is partnering with Oklahoma Shirt Company to create shirts that will benefit Positive Tomorrows, a school for children whose families are experiencing homelessness.

“It’s so cool to see a player and his family sinking their roots into the community,” said Sang Nguyen from Oklahoma Shirt Company.

Margaret Creighton from Positive Tomorrows expressed the excitement of having Hartenstein involved.

“And for somebody that you see on TV that’s your hero, that’s a really cool thing to have him encourage you in specific ways, especially to stay in school,” Creighton said.

The school relies on community support, and with the playoff buzz surrounding the Thunder, they hope these shirts will be on fans’ purchase lists. The initiative is already bringing joy to the students, who affectionately call Hartenstein “Mr. Isaiah.”

Nguyen emphasized the impact of the partnership.

“$12.50 of every shirt to Positive Tomorrows, a really cool organization,” Nguyen said.

“The Oklahoma Shirt Company and the Hartenstein Foundation donated shirts for all of the kids and the staff, so it’s been a super fun day today for everybody to wear our shirts together,” Creighton said.

Nguyen highlighted Hartenstein’s influence, saying, “When you look back at all the athletes that have come through Oklahoma, the ones that have made the most difference are the ones who’ve done stuff on the court, but also the ones who have done stuff off the court and Isaiah is leaving an incredible legacy with his play but also with his generosity.”
