2020 Volunteers of the Year

We are excited to announce Todd Owens, Baker Asset Management, as our 2020 Volunteer of the Year and the I.T. department at Love’s Travel Stops and Country Stores corporate headquarters as our 2020 Volunteer Achievement Award recipient.

Mr. Todd, as he’s known to the kiddos, has been a volunteer with Positive Tomorrows for more than 10 years and has served as a weekly reader for the school’s 5th/6th grade class over the past two years. The Volunteer of the Year Award is presented annually to an outstanding volunteer who has provided extraordinary service over an extended period of time at Positive Tomorrows.

The Volunteer Achievement Award is presented to a volunteer or volunteer group who create opportunities through a short term, one-time project at Positive Tomorrows.

“Todd Owens has faithfully shown up to read to our students for even longer than I’ve been here,” President/CEO Susan Agel said. “He is a dedicated supporter and advocate of our kiddos and our mission.”

“Similarly, the IT group from Love’s have brought a wonderful energy to our school through their steadfast commitment to celebrating our kiddos and helping us with many other projects at the school.”

Positive Tomorrows has a robust volunteer roster of more than 1,400 individuals. Our annual volunteer awards program is recognized during National Volunteer Appreciation Week, taking place April 19-25 this year.
