Volunteering Standards
All volunteers are not only expected but are required to take an active role in preserving the mission of Positive Tomorrows.
Volunteers are expected to believe in, uphold, and demonstrate through their professional behavior, a reasonable interpretation and voluntary compliance with the standards of performance.
Attendance/Tardiness
In order to provide a high quality of service the following should always take place:
- Volunteers must adhere to their schedules.
- In the event that a volunteer is unable to make it to work, they should contact Sandy Thomas by phone at (405)-556-5082 ext. 105 or by e-mail at sthomas@positivetomorrows.com with adequate notice.
- If a volunteer will knowingly arrive late for work, he/she is expected to call Sandy Thomas and inform her of their expected arrival times.
Dress Code
While casual clothing is the norm when working with children, volunteers are expected to use their professional judgment and dress conservatively, neatly, and appropriately. Some examples of inappropriate dress include clothing with advertisements, labels and/or messages that promote or depict drugs, violence, alcohol and/or tobacco; clothing with inappropriate language or message, and clothing that are revealing or tight.
Personal Conduct
Positive Tomorrows expects all volunteers to conduct themselves professionally at all times by embodying the highest ethical standards, treating all others with dignity and respect, always upholding and enhancing the reputation of Positive Tomorrows, and always protecting the well being of the children we serve.
