Positive Tomorrows has a long history of providing opportunities for homeless and at-risk children to participate in a social learning environment where children can develop lifelong skills toward becoming emotionally secure people. Volunteers play an integral role in making this happen. The care and dedication of role models like you, makes a significant difference in the lives of the children and families we serve. We are pleased to have you join our efforts to touch the lives of deserving children and their families.

Supporting Facts for Volunteers

Positive Tomorrows is a non-profit, free tuition school and social service organization devoted to helping children and families who are vulnerable due to transition, crisis, or homelessness.

We provide a warm and safe environment.  Children at Positive Tomorrows learn appropriate way of communicating their needs while growing in their awareness of the needs of others.

Every child is encouraged to engage in critical thinking processes, discernment of making wise choices, and the integrity of accepting responsibility for their actions.

Program components of Positive Tomorrows:

Break Camp: Winter, Spring, and Summer Break Camps are held each year during regular school breaks.

Regular School Classes (K-5): Educational classrooms provide individualized teaching, creative instruction, certified teachers, and age and socially appropriate curriculum that effectively prepares young students to enter their neighborhood schools.

On-site classes for parents: Life Skills and parenting classes, along with referrals to other educational opportunities, are offered for adults.

Help with needs: In addition to providing basic needs such as clothing, shoes, school supplies, backpacks, hygiene products, cleaning products, and furniture, the Caring staff at Positive Tomorrows is also available to assist with transportation for appointments, referrals for services, accountability for parents, a support system for encouragement and direction, and help in enrolling children in school.
