Following our private performance, The Uglysuit will perform at The Conservatory, 8911 North Western, on Wednesday, November 25th, 8:00 p.m. The band has asked fans to donate non-perishable food items to benefit Positive Tomorrows families through the holidays. We have so much to be thankful for here at Positive Tomorrows and our community friends are making it that much more special. To find out more about The Uglysuit, check out their website www.theuglysuit.com.

Haystacks, ghosties, and things that go bump in the night! We recently celebrated Halloween at Positive Tomorrows and the children were delighted with their costumes and had a wonderful time trick or treating.

Costume Design Students in the Theater Department at Oklahoma City University met the children and designed fantastic and unique costumes for each one. Complete with feathered angel wings, flowing gowns for princesses and a sculpted Incredible Hulk, the students received costumes that were crafted with artisanship.

Southwest Airlines contributed to the festivities by donating small pumpkins, once for each child, to paint and decorate with our art teacher. Last, but not least, Chesapeake stopped by with trick-or-treat bags for all the children. Our community partners truly came through this year for our students.

Friday, October 30, the wild rumpus began with donning costumes and then making a trip to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation. A pool of volunteers came in to finish off the costumes with hair and make-up accompanying the children on their adventure. The children showed off their wonderful costumes and collected many treats! They came back exhausted, a true sign of a successful Halloween.

These Red Bins are owned and collected by Western Recyclers, a private company who adopted Positive Tomorrows. All donations placed into the Red Bins are recycled or sold by Western Recyclers. They contribute a portion of the proceeds to Positive Tomorrows in the form of a cash donation. This year, donations through the Red Bins are expected to bring nearly $40,000 to Positive Tomorrows in Oklahoma City. Know that your contribution of used clothing or shoes will help Positive Tomorrows provide education and support to homeless children.

Today, Byron Mullens from the Oklahoma City Thunder helped throw a birthday party for our August and September birthdays. He handed out t-shirts and played pin the basketball on the Rumble. Our kids had so much fun. What a great way for our NBA team to be involved in the community.
