Volunteer Educators Needed

Enrollment at Positive Tomorrows increases every year at this time as seasons change and homeless families prepare for winter.  This year has been no different and our classes are full.  We’re looking for some retired teachers, education majors in college, or others who can be strong, committed tutors for our students.  If you volunteer, you can help needy children catch up academically and socially, so that they can be successful when they transition to public school.  Please call us at 405-556-5082 and ask for our Volunteer Coordinator.

  1. As Jeff Codner mentioned to Sandy Thomas, I am on the volunteer committee here at the local University of Phoenix campus. I will be joining Jeff today when he visits to tutor from 1:45-2:45, and hope to meet with Sandy to discuss an expansion of UOPX involvement with your organization.

    Phone: 405-842-8007

i am extremely interested in learning more about what you do, and how I might be able to volunteer. I am currently employed with Edmond Public Schools. I am an LPN, and currently work at our title one schools providing first aid to students. However; when first aid is not necessary, I am assisting in tutoring in math, reading, or any other services needed. I would greatly appreciate more information. Thank you. Kathy Walker

  3. Thanks, Kathy, for your interest! The best thing to do is call us and ask to speak with our volunteer coordinator, Sandy Thomas. Our office number is (405) 556-5082.
